GTA Radio as a form of virtual escapism, sit back choose your favorite game and station, and enjoy driving visuals from the game. A little dose of nostalgia for GTA fans, in what has become a bloated and stressful world!
I used to love driving around the GTA (Grand Theft Auto) maps as a teenager and listen to the radio stations which had the best music and hilarious conversations i've ever heard from even real life stations.
So I've created GTA Radio as a form of virtual escapism, sit back choose your favorite game and station, and enjoy driving visuals from the game.
A little dose of nostalgia for GTA fans, in what has become a bloated and stressful world!
@sam_alexander1 this is a great product for GTA fans!. The conversations from the radio stations are quite hilarious indeed especially when you want to take a break from the mission and roam around the country.
@sam_alexander1 With my gamer-friends, I was using GTA radio.co for a couple of days, and basically - its a great fun! But it lacks essential features that are really needed! Using Gta Radio without them is really uncomfy:
- A normal volume control (like on youtube)
- Play/pause when Click on the screen
- A normal radio station select (separate for each game)
- A mobile version, where you can only listen to Radio
- A button that Randomises video flow on the screen
Stan
UPD^ I have read that you have added Volume control and randomization. Great! But I would never find volume control if you didn`t say! Can you pls add normal volume control?
@stanui Thanks for the feedback, Stan! The radio does work slightly differently on mobile to pc. On mobile, sliding the volume bar doesn't work - this is a limitation imposed by Apple, so you just need to use the phone's built in volume buttons. On PC this should work fine though. On PC you can press space bar to pause the audio. The idea is that you listen to the radio stations which were on the particular game, it shouldn't be too much trouble to just select the right game if you're seeking a particular station (e.g. you want to play a san andreas station whilst watching Vice City visuals - if that's what you mean). I was thinking about making the on screen video start at a random point in time for re-playability, so maybe I'll do this
@sam_alexander1 Thanks for your reply!
About volume control - thanks for adding! But it`s not visible at all on the right side, because all other controls are on the other side! It`s not comfortable at all. We didn`t found it until I wrote a comment that you`ve added it. It is a bad UX(( Better to use a standard UX like youtube - it will be ideal and user-friendly if you do!
About radio selection - I just meant a radio-station select for each GTA part. Like you do in a real GTA game - you can switch at any radio you want at any moment (it will start from random broadcast time. It would ad great control and re-playability
About video randomization - it`s definitely a great idea, but you should also add a click-on-screen play/pause feature like on youtube. It is a standard UX pattern that I personally (and my gamer mates) are getting used to!
I hope that improving your product and re-playability GTA series and its music will be a new trend and your product becomes viral!
@sam_alexander1 I can, but headphones on a macbook are just a little too loud on the lowest device volume :(
I've thought of one more thing - if it would be possible to play the radio stations and the video from random points and not just from the start, that would increase the replayability a lot!
@kasparas_idealink I've added a volume bar, and made the default volume 70% to save your ears :) Good suggestions on the random bit, I'll look into that - might add a 'mode' toggle, so the user can decide to listen chronologically or randomly
