Hello Product Hunt! I am incredibly excited to be launching this project! I've been working on this app as a hobby project since mid-2020 and it has slowly morphed into a large scale endeavor, and I'm absolutely ecstatic that the first version has been finished. If you've ever been in an event like a meeting, convention, or conference of some sort, you'll notice that most of the communication between the presenter and the audience happens with microphones. When someone from the audience raises their hand in the large room, the mic must be passed across the audience to reach them. Nobody says it, but we're all think it - it's a bit annoying. GroupMic allows you to streamline in-person meetings by turning your smartphone into a wireless microphone. Instead of passing around a microphone to audience members who want to speak, just use the microphone contained already in everyone's pocket - their smartphones! A presenter can setup a GroupMic event on the app, plug their phone into the venue's sound system via headphone jack, and audience members can speak straight from their phones! I am always looking for feedback and would love any suggestions you may have! Let me know at info@groupmicapp.com!
