Hey Product Hunt! When I bought an espresso machine, I did what most people probably do: used it in full auto mode. I loved that I could make espresso drinks at home, but eventually I started to wonder why the espresso at coffee shops tasted so much better than mine. How do you make really good espresso at home? Then I learned the secret: to get good espresso, you need to ditch auto mode and really dial in your machine for the specific beans you buy and your specific preferences. After watching some Youtube videos, I was ready to experiment, but I was overwhelmed! There were so many variables to track: grind setting, dose weight, yield weight, pre-infusion time, extraction time, holy moly! And you have to keep track of all this for every variety of beans you try! How on earth was I supposed to remember all this? So I did what nerds do: I built an app. Good Espresso is for anyone who wants to make delicious espresso at home. Every day when you make your espresso, you can log everything about your shot, from the beans to all the nerdiest variables like brew ratio. Take notes and photos, track your progress, and dial in your technique until your favorite coffee shop is the one in your own kitchen. If you're new to espresso making and have no clue what any of this means, no worries, there are some easy tips for beginners to get started. This app was a labor of love and I obsessed over every little detail purely for my own sake. I have no clue if anyone else will ever use it but I thought I'd share in case other espresso lovers find it useful.
