I've always been stuck when it comes to getting gifts for people when I visited Japan. Now that I've moved here I wanted to curate a list of some more unique Japanese gifts and also wants on offer when it comes to the different regions of Japan.
👋 My name is Dom, and I'm the maker of Gifts From Japan a monthly newsletter about souvenirs/gifts from Japan. I created the site because I've always struggled with finding souvenirs to bring back to my family and friends. Many people know what Japan is famous for, but each region has its own souvenirs, food delicacies and what they're known for. For example, Matsuyama in Ehime is known for its 'mikan' and in particular its oranges due to its favourable climate to grow (warm summers and cool winters with moderate rainfall). If you're planning a trip to Japan, be sure to sign up to the newsletter!
