I'm always interested in @levelsio's projects. Wired wrote a great piece, This Guy Is Launching 12 Startups in 12 Months (I like that they called you "this guy" in the headline, lol).
Here are his previous products, hunted on PH:
- NomadList - The best cities to live and work remotely
- Play My Inbox - Stream the music that's in your inbox
- Tubelytics - The real-time analytics dashboard for YouTube
- Go Fucking Do It - Set a deadline and a price. If you fail, you pay.
P.S. apparently I made a cameo on GifBook's homepage. Ha!
Congrats with shipping again @levelsio! Don't think you'll get away with shipping Gifbook's the next months instead of launching products ;-)
I knew i saw this before. Apparently Gifprint.com has been doing this for a while now. This will probably prove again that execution is key. Site looks neat and easy to use. Optimising for mobile is golden, especially for the mobile using GIF addicts. It's probably interesting to experiment with advertising on GIF-goldmines like Reddit, 9GAG, etc. Any plans for that?
@woutervanlent Thanks Wouter :) GifPrint.com is awesome, but they don't actually ship the flip book.
I don't really like advertising early on, rather see natural growth. I do think it'd be smart to partner up with sites like 9GAG, Giphy etc. to supply them with this for re-selling.
@levelsio Ah! Good catch! Thought they also shipped.
Can imagine that you prefer natural growth, but over time it could be interesting to see if the advertising is profitable. Although partnerships could also be a good angle. Let's see who wants to jump in! :)
@Jonnotie ... Are you saying the platform has an unhealthy obsession with GIFs? We could even start with just http://www.reddit.com/r/gifs/ or a similar community.... Could be fun.
