Hello hello! :) Since I can't paste this link into the submit form, I am sharing our PH offer here --> PROMO CODE: https://tokn.co/c/Bg8Yg5rQ (one-month free trial) I'm Gentlers' co-founder 👋 and here is a bit of a backstory. In 2018 I was unable to exercise for six months due to an unattended injury. With that, my then main coping mechanism was gone, resulting in a psychological burnout diagnosis. Months later, @andrejmihelic , who was preparing for a triathlon on his own, ended up with a similar diagnosis: overtraining syndrome, aka physical burnout. So we seemed to have found ourselves in a situation where we were waving at each other from different river banks. It was a challenging period, but however cliche this sounds, today we are glad it happened. Going through that pushed us each towards thoroughly rethinking our ways of living. With time we became more capable of tying actions to consequences and started taking responsibility for our well-being by adopting various prevention techniques. Approach to physical fitness being one of them. Andrej started looking for solutions that would guide his activities to prevent another burnout: something to keep him on top of his physical condition and nudge him in the right direction. He searched for a tool working with his health data, providing safe guidance. Also important to him was suggesting rest when needed, no forcing constant progress (sports apps with social media, closing generic goals, 10.000 steps/day, ...), no competition - he wanted a practical private app. And, being an iOS UX/UI designer, a smooth user experience. Of course! :D Since he found no satisfying solution, he got to work. After talking about it non-stop, creating the first mockups, even a demo, it started to make me interested; it became something I wanted to use: only to stimulate me to move more and regularly. And then, some time down the line, it went from an afternoon project to a full-time job. There were now four of us, @jasna_krmelj & @luka_oresnik, with complementary iOS backgrounds, passionate about the idea, and determined to bring this to life properly. This autumn our first Gentler app was born. Apps' primary intent is to help people become and remain sustainably active: with that, directly aid in preventing fatigue that leads to injuries, burnout, and on the other hand, lower chances for the development of non-communicable diseases/lowering their symptoms. In the world of faster, higher, stronger, we present a healthier alternative ... yeah, you guessed it: gentler! 😛 For now, it's an iOS app that works with a smartwatch (preferably Apple Watch) and needs access to Apple Health. It's read-only, so your data never leaves your device. Significant updates to come in 2022: Apple Watch App - Gentler Workout Tracker, Health Tab, improving our algorithm by deepening personalization (adding recovery times, period). In the future, an app addressing emotional fitness will follow. We are excited to be here and happy to discuss the subject!

What I like about Gentler: 1. It is great to have all activities I track in different apps like Nike Running, Apple Fitness, Strava .... summarised in one place so I have overall picture of my all activities 2. Having one metric that signals me when I am pushing to hard is beneficial to maintain my health and control my ego 3. helps me stay in balance and avoid injuries and overtraining. Very good job!
