@mthrbmpr Hi Brian! Sorry to hear that you're having trouble. If you uploaded the correct file (should be a .txt), depending on the size of the file it may take some time to generate a report. I'm working on adding some error messages to let the user know exactly what's going on in cases like this as well as a better way to visualize that the report is generating so you can see exactly how far along it is and how much time is left.
I'll have these changes shipped by tonight and I'll let you know here as soon as they're ready. I hope you'll try it again!
@brandonsaldan I appreciate your reply, @brandonsaldan . For sure it was a 23andMe text file. But I will try again. It's a cool concept at the very least. Thanks for your work.
@mthrbmpr Hey Brian! Thanks for the kind words! I just pushed an update that improves error handling and displays the amount of SNPs in the file that have been processed as the report is generating. Hopefully this helps. I'd recommend giving it some time to generate as 23andMe files contain a ton of information and a few of them took 10-15 minutes when I was doing testing. Sadly there isn't too much I can do to speed the process up as its just the way 23andMe compiles their files.
If you're still having issues and you're still interested in generating your report, let me know and I'll be more than happy to help!
Brandon, I'm not sure how I can use this myself but I definitely think this is going to help thousands of people. Thanks for picking an important problem to solve and solving it.
Congrats on the launch, btw!
@madhupuranik Thanks Madhu! I'm glad you see the value in what we're doing, and I'm excited about the positive change it can bring to so many. Your support means a lot!
