I built an Upwork tool to screen clients and find relevant jobs
Upwork is becoming worse every day, especially for new freelancers, blowing connects on jobs that go nowhere, and dealing with scams.
I made Gavin to fix this for myself, and it’s honestly saved my sanity.
What It Does
Gavin’s a web app that cuts through Upwork’s mess.
- Gives clients a score (0-100%) to show who’s legit and pays fairly.
- Matches you to jobs that fit your skills, so you’re not burning connects on long shots.
- Writes solid proposals fast, so you can apply without the mental drain.
Takes under 10 minutes to get going, and you see a list of decent jobs with trustworthy clients. The dashboard’s pretty straightforward:
How It Helped Me
I was dropping $30-$50 a month on connects, wading through “$5 for 20 hours” nonsense, and always worried about getting scammed. My proposals were getting ignored.
- Day 1: Took 2 minutes to set up.
- Day 3: Found a client with a 70% score and a clear job post.
- Day 5: Used the proposal tool, landed a project. Client paid on time, no hassle.
It’s not just about saving connects—it’s about not feeling like Upwork’s beating you down.
Give It a Spin
There’s a 7-day free trial if you want to test it. One good job ($500-$5,000) and it’s covered.
The trial’s free, so there’s no risk if it’s not your thing. It’s been a huge relief for me, and I hope it helps someone else out too.

If you've the right strategy for marketing, this is a great product. Good one and congrats on the launch Abdul!
Gavin sounds like a valuable tool for navigating Upwork.
