Turns out, 44% of freelance designers want to create an agency in the next 5 years. With an increase in people wanting to chart their own path, it seemed necessary to build a platform that facilitates the dream.
A few years back, I attempted to start an agency myself.
What I needed were some friends to go in with me. Unfortunately, I had no one who was interested, and had to turn to cold emailing people on Dribbble, asking if they wanted to start an agency together.
It didn't work that well...
Few people were interested, and of the few that joined, they simply didn't do any work!
So I made Freelancer Agencies as solution to the clunkiness that comes when finding other freelancers designers.
And who knows, maybe there are plenty of other freelancers out there who share a similar sentiment of making an agency. In which case this could become a place for multidisciplinary agencies to come out of.
