Hey everyone 👋 - this is Nat, and I'm the creator of FortunesRise. FortunesRise was born from my desire to understand the performance of my own investments and make better investing decisions. I was frustrated that I could not easily compare how my stocks, retirement accounts, rental property, and cryptocurrencies were all doing relative to each other. Without that information, I didn't feel like I was in full control. I went looking for solutions and found some interesting options - but most of them required me to give up my bank and brokerage login data. For me this was a non-starter. I was just not comfortable entrusting a company with that sensitive information no matter how well intentioned they were. So I started out with a simple set of scripts and spreadsheets, eventually ending up with the FortunesRise web app after 3 years of development and refinement. I worked hard to pack key information into an intuitive and easy to compare format. My goal was to have data to understand both past performance and to guide my decisions on what to do next, including: - Total and annualized returns - Actual and estimated* income - Performance vs. benchmarks - Asset allocations - Earnings and ex-dividend dates* - Short term changes over 1 day, 5 days, and 1 month* (* for US stock holdings only) To understand how a basket of assets are performing together, you can group things together however you see fit. Finally, different portfolios can be created if you really want to separate things out (say tracking your finances vs. your parents). Privacy was also a big driving factor. The app does not ask for your financial account login credentials. This means there is some manual data entry required - we strive to make that as easy as possible and provide transaction spreadsheet upload for the major brokerages. We collect no personal information other than an email address and we don't sell your data to affiliates or marketers - you are not the product here! FortunesRise is simply a tool for making better investing decisions, nothing more. I hope some of you out there find FortunesRise as useful as I do. I use it pretty much every day and it has definitely taken my investing to the next level. I was looking for a private/secure way of tracking performance of my investment portfolio. Fortunes rise has all one could ask for. This app not only helped me track and compare all my investments but helps me with my next investments decisions as well. I use it almost very day now! Even the interface is so easy to use. In one place I have all the required data to make my daily or monthly or yearly investment decisions. One of my favorite feature is the ability to not only track stocks but also other asset classes like house, crypto etc. As well as the debt you owe!
