Foresee is a minimalistic app designed to track your predictions. It supports recording probabilities, arguments, risks, and final notes. After each cycle of prediction, disclosure, and review, your decision-making abilities will significantly improve.
Hey. I am the developer of Foresee.
The process of developing Foresee has been a lonely one because I wasn't sure if there were others in the world who needed this product. However, I am incredibly happy now because I can finally introduce Foresee to all of you and listen to your suggestions.
Foresee is a simple app with one goal - to help you record every prediction you make. Everyone makes predictions, whether it's at work, while reading the news, or in everyday life. But perhaps very few people actually keep track of their predictions. It's rare, but it's helpful because it allows you to see how accurate your judgments were. By understanding your past thoughts, you can make better decisions for the future.
For example, as a designer, I often explore different design solutions. Once, I had two options, A and B, and I believed A would be better. I had clear reasons and recorded them in my notebook. Later, we tested both options and found that users clearly preferred option B. It was fascinating. I went back and analyzed my notes, discovering weaknesses in my thinking. This discovery made me more cautious in subsequent decisions.
We are in the era of AI, but no matter how powerful AI becomes, I still believe that everyone needs to constantly improve their decision-making abilities. So, I will continue iterating on this product to make it better and better.
Good to meet you all here, guys. Feel free to comment here or send emails to hey@easebit.xyz. I will carefully read every piece of feedback.
Thank you!
Such a fantastic idea for an app! As someone who goes through a lot of anxiety and imposter syndrome, I'm interested in seeing how much the app can help compare negative assumptions with reality, and in turn detach oneself from that anxiety and develop a more balanced outlook on life :)
The UI is simple and beautiful, and it's a breathe of fresh air to not have to sign up for an account to use the app, to not have the optional Premium subscription be constantly popping up on screen, and still have enough features in the app without Premium. It's much more relaxed to use the app, and having a lifetime price is a great option to make available.
Some things I wonder could be useful to implement into the app in the future: the ability to filter or have a search/tagging system so people can group predictions by correct/incorrect, topic or by separating ones that are due within a month vs ones that are due within a year+. If someone makes a lot of predictions, it can get hard to keep scrolling around to find the right one (if they want to reveal it sooner).
And could there be an option to include notes before a reveal too so someone could record thoughts or evidence that leads up to the final reveal’s conclusion. If I could see those notes/final notes under the prediction text on the Home Screen, it’d be nice to see that there is progress or extra context to the correct/incorrect conclusion without always tapping into the prediction.
Overall I hope this app will resonate with lots of people since it feels like it has a lot of potential!
@lizyen Thank you Lizy! I’m glad that you like it. And your suggestions are soooo great! I will definitely consider developing those features in the upcoming versions.
