While proofs are an essential part of the design and production process for every professional font, making them is often time consuming, error prone, or dependent on custom Python scripts. Font Proofer removes this friction.
All type designers output font proofs throughout their process, and most test the same kinds of things – legibility, readability, spacing, consistency, etc – but usually they laboriously make their own templates for these documents. There are some proofing tools out there, but until now there hasn’t been a comprehensive app that does it all for you.

Font Proofer has already been used by a small group of designers and foundries for the past year, and it’s rapidly improving (see the public roadmap). There are tutorials and learning resources available, and I’ll be hosting some upcoming webinars.
