Flosstime was created with the goal of getting everyone to floss more! Even within the US, more than 80% of us don't floss regularly, and a third of us never floss at all. Flossing not only helps to prevent gum diseases and other serious medical problems, it will also save you a ton of money in the long run. A single cavity at the age of 10, for example, will cost you more than $2,000 to maintain over the course of your life. Other floss products out there do not actually address the root of the flossing problem: building daily habits!
Now you might think: this is way too silly and simple. And it is... but it really works! We've received emails from our early crowdfunding backers saying how much they and their children are now flossing with Flosstime. Our job is to now get the rest of the world to floss! :)
I hardly flossed as a kid which is obviously dumb, and still don;t do it as much as I should as an adult. I can imagine making it a little more fun with a device like this that also reminds people to use it will result in a big up-tick.
$4 a pop for replacement cartridges isn't razor blade level abuse either which is nice.
