A fishing app to track, share, and analyze catches. GPS locations are recorded while you move and for each fish you catch. Save flies and lures, waypoints, weather, friends, photos and more. Take your fishing logs with you anywhere, even if you're offline.
Hi, I'm the creator of Fish Swami! I created the website for Fish Swami nearly 15 years ago, after getting frustrated with not being able to remember seemingly simple details from my past fishing trips. My fishing friends and I consistently argued over which flies or lures we had fished with, when we had fished, what the weather conditions were, etc.
A couple fishing log websites existed at the time, but none of them allowed me to enter my catches like how I record them on the water. As a result, I decided to build my own fishing log.
The website has worked great over the years. But, entering in fishing details at the end of a long day, or perhaps a couple days after the fact, leads to lost details. And sometimes, you forget to log the results at all.
I designed and built the fishing app to be an extension of all of the flexibility and functionality that already exists with the website. I also had a few requirements for the app that I hadn't consistently found in other apps:
* Offline support - your fishing logs are stored on your phone and synched with the server when you're online. You can be in the middle of the wilderness and still access your previous trips. You can record new trips while you're offline as well.
* Record every catch - many fishing apps seem designed to only record your biggest catches, or trophy fish that you want to share on social media. The Fish Swami app is designed to allow fast and efficient entry of all catches so you can spend more time fishing, but still record details for each catch or groups of catches.
The app has lots of other features, with new features being actively developed.
I understand you very well. My friends and I used to argue as well, and sometimes it even came to an argument when we couldn't remember who had caught the biggest fish. But I can assure you that this argument was absolutely useless because you can't know who really caught this or that fish. After all, it depended on many factors that were impossible to remember. Unfortunately, we didn't write anything down either, and now we're arguing about who bought their new fishing rod first from here . So I'll gladly use your calendar and add their records and photos of all our significant fishing events. Thank you!
