Feast is a community marketplace allowing you to get homemade food delivered straight to your door from home cooks in your neighborhood. Home kitchens are unused most of the day, and Feast provides an opportunity for home cooks looking to earn extra money.
Great idea! How do you manage to ensure the food quality is up to par e.g. Isn't contaminated. This could come from dirty kitchens, unprofessional handling of ingredients etc...
@andrew_dao1 Hi Andrew, great question!
Feast is a managed marketplace, so after a home cook applies we carry out an interview and kitchen inspection. Food safety is of utmost importance to us, and the initial interview and inspection doesnβt prevent standards slipping.
We need to provide an experience that bestows confidence from the moment a customer opens up our landing page to the time they purchase their 1000th dish and beyond. We are doing this by creating tools designed to make the experience easy and accessible to all. To ensure standards are consistently high, we carry out regular inspections and provide constant access to best practices and guidelines (preventing cross contamination, cooking temps, etc). We also built a 4 tiered review system which gives customers a greater understanding of the food they will purchase.
Hey Everyone!
Feast started after a conversation I had with an Uber driver who had two kids, couldnβt afford rent and was an amazing Italian home cook.
We match hungry customers with home cooks looking to earn extra money. And unlike restaurants which have expensive overheads, home cooking offers more food variety at better prices.
