FarbVélo (Swiss-German for color bicycle) is a playful color picking tool. It follows simple generative rules and lots of random numbers to help you come up with the most pleasing color combinations, or just chill while cycling through color harmonies.

Are there any elements of color theory applied here? or just randomized?

@gabriela_trueba1 yes there is some color theory involved: The hue's are picked at randomly 60° distance from each other on the color wheel by default. (This can be changed in the settings). So every time you "re-roll" you get a random color harmony (Complementary, Analogous, Split-Complementary etc...). One of those colors will be made very dark and one very bright, the colors in between have a controlled random lightness ramp applied to it. I have implemented a full Random version. (you can check it out in the settings under "Randomizer Engine" > Full Random). Hope this answers your question
