Push a button and send user stories in your product spec to Jira. Fable will also keep the spec fresh with any changes made to the tickets on Jira. No more copy + pasting from Docs into Jira, no more stale spec!

Hey Product Hunters! 👋 It's @aravindh_dorai here, along with my cofounder @alex_chumbley. We're so excited to launch the Fable Google Docs Add On. I've been a product manager at large companies and startups, and everywhere I've seen a big gap between defining WHAT to build and planning HOW to build it. PMs need the flexibility of a doc editor like Google Docs, while engineers need the granularity of an issue tracker like Jira. The Fable Google Docs Add On bridges that gap - use it to: - Turn your stories in Docs into Jira tickets with a single click. Stop spending all your time copying and pasting - Keep your spec fresh when changes are made to Jira tickets. Your spec is always the source of truth Would love to hear your feedback in the comments - looking forward to the discussion! P.S. - stay tuned for our web app. It'll sync user stories and requirements to any issue tracker, plus give you two new features: a modern take on the spec editor and a dashboard that tracks progress once the build starts.

I was lucky enough to get an early look at Fable's Google Docs Add-On and it was ✨magical✨. It made me realize that I won't have to spend as much time creating and managing tickets in JIRA!! I really didn't like the JIRA ticket creation and editing UX (I mean who does!?). There are so many fields and never where I expected them to be. So excited to have more PMs and builders get their hands on this, so that they can spend less time on *project* management and more time on *product* management! Congrats @aravindh_dorai and @alex_chumbley! 🚀

@abhiondemand Thank you for this feedback and for all the feedback that you've provided so far! It's played a huge role in shaping the product.

Hey Aravindh - It seems like I need this for Word/GitHub issues. Right now my project management is a sprawl between the two, and it is constantly out of sync. Looks really neat!

@legendaryr3d thank you for this feedback! We definitely plan on supporting Github issues, and will also look into Word APIs to see what's possible.
