Howdy Product Hunt 👋 I am so excited to announce the Excel+Design newsletter today! At its core, Excel+Design is a newsletter that includes .xlsx files in each edition. Each file illustrates how to use the lesser-known visual design features in Excel so that you can start using them in your own worksheets. 💬 Here's The Story 💬 I used to work as a product lead on big custom dashboard projects for brands like Google, Lego, and Microsoft. But I was burnt out, exhausted and having a serious quarter-life crisis. So my partner and I moved to SE Asia and I suddenly had a lot more free time. I used that time to do some experiments with Excel and I realized that I could build really cool dashboards using nothing but standard Excel features. Here's the thing... nobody seemed to know about the visual design features I was using. It's nothing fancy, anyone can do it, but there are no courses or articles explaining exactly how to do it. So I decided to get the info out there, one sample template at a time. I have some really cool templates lined up for May and June that I can't wait to share with you all! Please don't hesitate to ping me with any questions. I'm on PST and I'll be on early in the morning to answer them.

Loving the templates. Excel might not always be the best tool in existence for certain tasks, but in corporate world it's often the best *available* tool. Some of the templates you've build have been really useful already, and definitely push the bounds of what most folks expect from Excel. Keep up the awesome work!

Those templates are awesome. I wasn't aware you could do all of that in excel, and this opens a whole new door of possibilities for reporting data.
