The developer-centric donation platform. Save time and empower nonprofits to focus on their causes (instead of tech limitations) by integrating modern donation experiences with any website in minutes. Onboard a nonprofit or choose from 1.5m+ causes to support.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 Christopher here, one of the Co-founders.
When @willdeaf and I ran a web dev agency, we built our nonprofit clients donation experiences from scratch, slowly and painfully. No platform we used scaled to their ever-increasing demands or gave us the control that developers need to create robust, modern donation experiences. So we're building Everfund as the first devtool for nonprofits and giving on the Modern Web.
Today, we're excited to announce the availability of our low-code donation tools and our Giving Network. Empower nonprofits to focus on their causes! Here's what you can do today:
- Integrate flexible donation experiences in any website
- Accept modern payment methods: Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH, SEPA, BACS & more
- Accept international-ready payments
- Create sharable donation links
- Generate donation QR codes
- Support 1.5m+ nonprofits in your blogs, websites, and apps
- Accept live donations in 5 minutes with accelerated onboarding
What's coming next: Headless Donation SDK, Webhooks, APIs, Styling, Pre-built components.
We're making Everfund the most composable devtool for donations anywhere.
We've spent years working on donation experiences and learning the nuances of giving so you don't have to. Now get out there and push code to help change the world with the first version of Everfund!
Hey @burnedchris & @willdeaf , congrats on the launch, at long last! \o/
Question: what happens on the non profit side? Do they see which websites/apps are supporting them and are there interactions encouraged between the non profit and the sites supporting them?
@burnedchris@noire_munich Great question Thomas! Everfund currently supports two use cases, 1. you're a developer working with a nonprofit (or a nonprofit yourself), you'll onboard and control everything yourself; 2. You're a developer who's building in donations into their websites, blogs or apps and choosing nonprofits from our Giving Network to distribute donations to currently over 1.5 million US nonprofits. The Giving Network currently remains a way for nonprofits to receive donations from their audiences, leaving them to focus on their causes. Hope that makes sense!
@burnedchris@willdeaf Thanks Will, it does indeed.
Next question! On my app I want to let my customers choose a percentage of their subscription that would go to a non profit - and the rest would pay for their subscription. Can Everfund help me on this?
@burnedchris@willdeaf@noire_munich Hey, I'm an engineer at Everfund. This is actually a really interesting combination of a few things we have in the works. This use case sounds like a prime candidate for our Giving Network, with the addition of what we term an "affiliate disbursement" on top. Currently, these are static (And also not public!), but I don't see any reason why these couldn't be dynamic % splits based on a user selection. Certainly an interesting one to discuss!
@burnedchris@willdeaf@kyle_mandell1 Kyle thank you for your answer, I'm really glad it makes sense on your side - I never implemented non profit donations but as I am considering on launching my own product, I would have naturally felt inclined to implement it in such a way before launch.
Also it comes from a friend's approach to selling his own product, for a while he just let people pay what they wanted to pay, and gradually he upped the minimum, while keeping a very opened payment policy. It worked well for him and it's an interesting way to blur the entry bar for a paying app and getting people more involved in what they do.
@burnedchris@willdeaf@noire_munich Awesome, we're all about providing the tools that work for devs to build the donation experiences that they need, so I'm sure this use case is something that will be possible with Everfund down the line!
Everfund is amazing! I have got to speak to the owners and they are truly forward thinking and have come up with a brilliant way to ensure charities raise more money for their great causes.
Big fan of how Everfund simplifies nonprofit donation tools for developers while still leveraging the possibilities of a Modern Web Dev Stack. Everfund is one of the best products building in the Next JS and Jamstack ecosystem.
