Hi @abadesi! The hook is that I "co-wrote" it with an AI, so it's both a children's story and an example of how to use machine learning to help augment the creative process. On the tech side I trained an LSTM network on kids books from Project Gutenberg, generated a book's worth of grammatically perfect gibberish, and wrote the narrative on top of that skeleton. For the illustrations I did a small photoshoot with a neighborhood family and rendered the photos using https://github.com/anishathalye/.... If you'd like to know more, you should download the e-book. The first half of the book is about the process, and the second half is a story about a little girl in Brooklyn.

Curious to know more about how AI helped to co-write this @philleif

If you liked Ruby for introducing your kids to basic coding concepts then Emma is next on your bedtime kid reading list!

Pros:

Great tool for adults to introduce children to the topic

Cons:

Grasping the concepts might be tricky for young kids
