📧 Why build an email preview tool?
On December 29, 2021, I quit my well-paying tech job to build Crewcharge, an email marketing tool. Having a 'point-of-no-return experience' was important to me as an entrepreneur, so I did it in spite of the odds. The billion-dollar email industry had taught me so much over 6 months. I witnessed a friend of mine send himself an email campaign while conducting customer interviews.
- He said people don't open emails, but instead decide whether or not to open them by looking at the notification bar.
- I did some research and found that 75% 🤯 of the people read emails from notification bars, and decided to build this. Which is now being used by 40+ cold emailing sales teams and email marketers!
🤠 How does this help with email opens?
- Most email preview tools assume your mailing list has your email open on a 4K screen with full attention - in reality, they're scrolling TikTok and deciding whether or not to read it from the 3 lines of the notification.
- Our customers rephrase and reposition their messaging to hit the bullseye in the first 2-3 lines, and see where their subject line gets cut off.
- While writing emails, it's easy to get carried away and we forget about what it's like to be on the receiver's end. Inboxpirates break down your email by reading time, spam words, and more.

- Create a free account and install our chrome extension.
- Write and design your email as usual with a tool like Gmail, Hubspot, Apollo.io, Mailchimp, and Sendinblue.
- A big preview button is added inside your browser and all you have to do is click it and see what your device looks like from the notification bar, where your email gets cut off in popular email tools, etc.
