Worked on a little July 4 side project, preserving & displaying election information using Ethereum.
AP published their race calls last year to the blockchain but had no way to view it! I also published MIT’s US election archive to the Ropsten testnet.
It’s mainly an exploration for me to learn Solidity, web3, etc., but I can see some practical uses for it; basically a timestamped, immutable, no-downtime API to this information, which can be valuable in case of censorship or an attempt to “alter the past” on authoritative sources.
