Hey hunters 👋
Super excited to bring you a thing I've been solo developing for the past couple of months!
the esports outlet ecosystem is fragmented across a lot of different websites covering different games, sometimes somewhat small and I was looking for a website that would bring me the most important, most interesting news.
RSS wasn't very efficient since it throws tons of raw data at you and all I wanted was to have a quick glance, get the most important headlines and move on.
Couldn't find one - so I built one 😅 enjoy!
@itsabhinaya ooh, cool question. Not sure I understand the question all the way through but I'll try and answer what I think you've meant.
One problem I encountered during development is that large esport games (LoL, CS:GO mostly) generate more stories and therefore can sometimes occupy the entire "top of the news" section.
I wanted to have a diversified feed and account for all types of games so I had the algorithm work it so news from within the same game compete against themselves first and only then against smaller games, that creates a fairly balanced and diversified top feed.
Let me know if that answered your question, happy to elaborate :D
