@shimmb@mowie - Simon- Your typical dude pick up starts around 50$ and the scales up based on how far your stuff is going. The average dude pick up is anywhere from 60-70$
@shimmb we solved what I think is a big issue that people have when it comes to moving stuff and that is to provide clear upfront pricing before you book. Pricing is variable based upon a number of factors, but as Jacob pointed out its around $50+ per move (on the low end).
@leftynaut let's face it, in a new and exciting space with a lot of potential, there will always be competition. Enough money & time, most companies can build something competitive. Sure there are some things we believe DUDE does that gives us an edge, for instance you can go from sign up to booking in the shortest period of time, we provide an upfront price for the move & guarantee it, + we have integrated mobileStorm's messaging technology to enable a solid consumer exeperiance that really manages timing expectations.
Our dudes are someone you might want to have a beer with. They are very sensitive to first impressions and the customer need.
We have some exciting things on the horizon that will enable us to quickly scale nationwide, while automating moving as much as possible; game changing stuff that we feel could put us ahead of respectable competition.
But I always say, competition gets me out of bed in the morning, but it doesn't keep me up at night.
