👋 Hey there, Gabo here, founder of OrangeLoops. I've been trying to improve my pool game in covid season. Found myself wishing for some way to automatically track my shots and generate stats. That's how we came about the idea for this app, which ended up being a fun and beautiful technical challenge for our mobile AI team. Our vision is to be able to track 9 ball, 8 ball, straight pool and snooker games eventually. As a starting point we are releasing an iOS app that tracks a selection of pocket billiard drills. In categories such as speed control, shotmaking and positional play. Allowing users to practice fundamentals, get to know their stats and track progress over time. All without the need for any fancy third party hardware, other than an iOS device, a tripod, and of course a billiard table. Huge thank you to all the community of users that participated in our beta testing program providing early feedback, particularly those from the billiards subreddit.
