Dost app for Microsoft Teams assists people with inclusive language suggestions. This works like a spellcheck or grammarly for correcting toxicity or bias from employee communications. Dost suggestions are in the form of a private 1:1 nudge to the sender.
[About Dost]
Dost is an inclusive communications assistant for Microsoft Teams.
Promote inclusive workplace messaging, collaboration and communications within your teams with the help of Dost. When you add Dost to your Teams, Dost will guide you to use inclusive language in your messaging through suggestions and education material.
Dost surfaces the learning moments in real-time when users post messages that contain unconscious bias, microaggressions or non-inclusive language with recommendations to modify and make it more inclusive.
[Dost Features]
1) Friendly Nudges: When your message can be rephrased with more inclusive language, Dost sends you a personal 1:1 message (nudge) with feedback on the non-inclusive language and education material to learn more about the issues.
2) Suggestions: Dost provides you with alternative suggestions you can use to make your messages more inclusive.
3) Celebrations: When you post messages that use inclusive language, for example: use the word Chairperson instead of Chairman, Dost celebrates this with an applause.
4) Feedback: You can give feedback to Dost when it doesn't do a great job in identifying non-inclusive messages.
5) Customise: Customise Dost as per your company's DEI / Brand guidelines. Upload your dictionary and configure response messages that works for your organisation context.
[Privacy & Security]

2) Dost does not store any of your messages.
3) Dost responses are visible only to you, no one else, not even the admin.

[About the makers]
Dost is brought to you by ishield.ai - we help companies create bias free communications. The team is lead by @anand_pikle who has 10+ patents in the field of AI and Analytics, @anjor_kothare who heads our product and @sreedevi_polpakkara who has a PHD in computational linguistics who heads our data.
@yankovichv The idea is to build a product that will help every function within a company to create bias-free communications. It started off as a passion project, but seeing that companies rely on manual review process (or worse - do nothing to address bias), we are now on a mission to make this as pervasive as spell check for every person in a company.
We are bootstrapped business. VC will probably happen much later. We just started to think about it.
