A free one stop shop to inform you about the true cost of common goods, and provide sustainable, ethical, and more affordable alternatives. We take care of the heavy lifting by researching the good lifecycle, its ingredients, and finding brands you can trust.
Happy Earth Day everyone!
We are so excited to introduce the launch of our website https://doonebetter.today/. From skincare to shampoo, we break down why you should care about switching, what ingredients to watch out for, and a list of alternative and clean products featuring the price and what we like about it.
In addition, we send out a weekly Thursday newsletter that takes a deep dive into each of these goods, so you can learn more about what systems are in place today and how companies are innovating for the future.
We want to share with the world that it doesn't need to take hours of time finding products that are better for you, your wallet, your community and our planet. We do the heavy lifting so you don't have to. We want consumers to have complete knowledge about the products they use and the corporations behind them, so that they can make the best decision for themselves and their families. Your dollars make a difference, especially to small businesses, and we hope that you see that.
We would love for you to check it out and leave us some feedback or a category/brand recommendation! It's impossible for us to capture every single amazing brand across every category, so we appreciate your input.
We are also hosting a Clubhouse event today at 5:30 PM PDT (https://www.joinclubhouse.com/ev...). We would love to connect with our audience and answer any questions you have. Hope to see you there!
Best,
Gibson and Maitri
@eugenehp Yes! This actually is a big part of our next step, which is to investigate the supply chains further and take consumers along the way. If you check out our newsletter, we have started to take a stab at this for each good. The hope is do more documentation and provide more transparency going forward :)
Can't wait to share more to PH folks when this can come about.
Nice! Maybe going through the company boards could be one of the approaches. Also I think some of the ISO certifications require to disclose a bit about the supply chain.
@eugenehp Will definitely take a deeper look through the company boards and ISO certifications. It is hard to take a true evaluation without talking to the company and their supply chain themselves.
Congratulations on the launch 🎉 I think y’all are on to something. Finding ethical alternatives to common goods is a really important problem to solve — great objective and amazing resource!
What I love about Do One Better is how accessible their newsletter is. It’s written to be approachable, make practical suggestions, and give you an opportunity to explore more if you’re curious. I’ve learned so much from them — go subscribe and get that knowledge in your inbox now ðŸ§
