Has anyone else noticed how many sock startups there are out there?
So I saw this one yesterday and though "at least they're giving pairs to the homeless". If I were them, I'd call my campaign: one sock for you, one for the homeless. Or something hilarious. Anyway, socks... :D
@v4violetta It's because everybody needs socks! Who knows, maybe the next big thing will be underwear startups...? ;) But – to be serious – this seems like a really nice concept to me. I like the idea of giving for getting..
DivvyUp began after taking a trip to our local homeless shelter where we learned of their huge need for clean socks. We decided to sell exciting novelty socks and with every pair purchased we would give a pair to those in need. To date, we have been able to give over 2000 pairs of new socks. We have been able to satisfy our local shelters need, as well as expand our giving across the state.
