Interesting. I built and launched a little experiment around people sharing around interests a while ago. We called it taps.by and each addition to the topic was called a 'tap'.
What we learned and found interesting was that, it got really engaging if we introduced content by others on the same topic as the one you posted and started a communication channel with all of them RIGHT AFTER you posted. It was unreal! I'd love for you to add that in the future and analyse your engagement metrics. There is ton of monetisation you could do with that and brands looking to engage with users just-in-time.
Rock on!
Thanks for listing us @katesegrin, we're excited to share what we've been working on with you guys. Dips lets you create stories with the world. Pick a hashtag and record your Dip, and it immediately becomes part of the story.
We had a great time playing with Dips last week, check out #dancebreak
We're around to answer any questions you might have.
@svenvd_zee fair enough. Although, from a new user's perspective, they'd value familiarity over something they have to completely learn over. So that would work in their favour. But, I get your point. It's always nice to be fascinated by originality :)
@svenvd_zee Yeah. What's the point of developing a new product if it's not particularly new? There's a way to be familiar, yet totally original. Have you guys seen this? http://appstore.com/vervid
