You always wanted to write a diary but your laziness said "no"? This app might be for you! It can include lots of information into your entries automatically, like pictures, walked steps, weather or social media activity. You can password-protect the app and sync the data with the corresponding Windows app.
I'd like to know what size videos need to be. I'd like some formatting options within my entries, I'd like to see a list of my tags to select from, I'd like all of my platforms to talk and to tell me how to talk to them. I lost several days of diary and wasn't able to import diary entries from the one I was using prior to. d Notes, surprisingly, had much more flexibility, but didn't do the things, Diarium can - calendar entry and search, for example.
Pros:
easy photo, voice recorder, video (my main need) entry
Cons:
little to no help , syncing (android/Windows) unclear can wipe out whole diary (I did), and no password recovery or diary will be deleted.
Thanks for your review and sorry for my late response. Improving the sync will be my main goal for 2019, but I am wondering how you cleared your diary, this certainly shouldnt happen - maybe you can write me a short mail explaining how it happened. Password recovery is not possible as it isnt being sent to any server before (none of your diarys data, including the password, will ever be sent on my server). There is a clear warning (in red color 😉) that resetting the password will result in a diary reset as well.
There is not video size restriction, but the videos are being compressed when attaching so they need less storage space.
There is a tags overview page inside the app already.
I dont fully understand what you mean with the talking platforms, maybe you can elaborate?
Feel free to ask all your questions via mail, I will try to answer them all!
I have used Diarium for about eight months until my laptop crashed about two weeks ago. When I restored Windows 10 with my recovery drive all of my eight months of journal disappeared, and could not find the database in the synced OneDrive or FileHistory.
The Diarium saved my journals and I was always able to retrieve the journals written in previous days. Diarium also daily notifies me of writing the journal but Diarim has never notified me of saving the journal written before closing the app as MS Word or Excel does.
I like the utility of Diarium but I am just afraid I may lose my future journal again.
@dong_choi Happy you were able to recover your journal contents. Diarium offers various ways to ensure your diary won't get lost. You can use the auto-sync which automatically backs up the journal in a cloud service of your choice. You can also manually backup the database in the app settings. Another alternative is the Word export, which allows you to have a backup in a human-readable format.
This is for Android/Windows versions.
