This looks like fun. I started a game by myself and got a page with 4 questions and directory with a bunch of files. There are no instructions as to how to go about solving the questions. The questions themselves are also unclear, perhaps by design? The first question says "Find four magic words by solving http_api(int x) = 0. Submit them as a comma-separated list." I guess this intentionally mysterious? Even so, what does it mean to "submit" the answer? I don't see anywhere to do this. Anyhow, cool idea. Seems like a fun time! ?makers

this is all intentional. Try finding (and clicking) the file called /dev/esc!

...and re: intentionally mysterious. There's a link at /dev/hints which starts giving you instructions, if you want them (hints stay hidden until you confirm you want to look)

Bring your team or play solo... I built /dev/esc so that developer teams had another option for team-building besides drinking, socialising or, I dunno, go-karting. It's early days and I'd love to know what people think. Please let me have feedback in the comments, on Hacker News, or by email to feedback@dev-esc.com The game is totally online, and can be played 100% remotely. * BYO video (Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, Google, anything) * Works IRL as well * Use your own computers with your own tooling #vim * Solve small challenges, find clues, escape room stuff * No cheesy backstory (yet) #roadmap * Takes approximately an hour What do you think? If you like the idea but don't decide to play, what puts you off?
