@theashtube @sfath @helloduane we wanted something lightweight, that didn't require us to build a database, etc. as we were first testing out the idea of this service. Google group has the ability to view on web, subscribe to individual or digest emails, and via RSS, posts can be tweeted. it's embed into other sites is a little clunky (esp on mobile) but so far, it's the forum platform best we've been able to find. that said, we're very open to other ideas!

@sfath @helloduane @mollieruskin I think it works perfectly for now, but I don't know how much life Google groups have in them. I don't think they are as popular as they once were, and Google have a tendency to shelve products from time to time that aren't performing well. So there are some risks with using it, so be sure you have a backup solution or a plan-b in place.
