I built DeadDrop to make secure file sharing ridiculously simple — and truly private.

Most file-sharing apps require signups, tracking, or trusting a server with your data. DeadDrop is different:

🗑️ Files auto-delete after a set time or download limit

Zero-knowledge means we can’t see your files — even if we wanted to. Your privacy stays completely in your hands.

Does Deaddrop provide any sort of delivery or read receipt to let you know if the recipient has actually opened the file?

@jack_rhodes2 Not at the moment — DeadDrop doesn’t provide delivery or read receipts yet. However, the idea sounds great, and I’ll consider adding it in a future update!

@rayid_ashraf Is there a limit on the size or type of files that can be uploaded through Deaddrop?

@noah_ortiz Yeah, for now, you can share files up to 10 MB in size. And there is no restriction on file type, you can share anything!
