Curamei is the first patient-centric health information exchange platform. Patient users can connect to health data sources and share a complete health record with care providers to save time on collecting medical history information across different doctors.
Patient intake forms and having to take time to fax medical records between doctors makes for an unnecessary usage of time that could otherwise be used to immediately get into diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care management.
Our ambition is to use Curamei to bypass the hurdles that electronic health record platform companies and large health systems pose to enabling patients to take their health information where they go anywhere in the world.
As someone who worked in healthcare and extensively in EHRs, you're definitely solving a real problem, and love the approach to it!
?makers How do you deal with EHR companies who don't have an integration with you? (As I can imagine some companies are protective about their data). Love the fitbit integration as well, does it also support Apple Health?
@andrew_tsao Thanks for the questions and review!
Currently, we are working with a developer service which allows us to facilitate pulling of patient portal data authorized by an OAuth protocol. This service gives us access to thousands of health systems across the country ranging systems from Epic MyChart and Cerner to eClinicalWorks.
To expand the list of patient portals we can support, we intend to be working to build direct integrations with smaller but more developer-friendly EHR like DrChrono and hope to eventually build integrations with larger, more protective companies as we build trust with these larger actors.
Currently Fitbit is the only integration which we have for digital health products, but we are working to support Apple HealthKit, Google FIT, and Garmin Health product data by the end of the summer, and we are looking into other integrations like through Omron and Oura.
@asingh_curamei Thanks for the thorough response! Makes a lot of sense to start o the developer-friendly ones! I've worked with eClinicalWorks and have encountered how protective they are with their data so was curious how you plan to tackle it.
Super excited to see how this turns out!
