Thank you to @chrismessina for the hunt & hello hunters of products!
When the pandemic hit it became more clear than ever that platforms for gathering online were crucial. We at crowdcast were luck to ride that wave and experience massive growth but at a certain point we realized our tech wasn’t going to scale to support the needs of the demand.
So we went back to the drawing board to redesign and re-build a whole new version of crowdcast. We asked ourselves: how can we make the most engaging online event experience for a post-covid world that builds on our years of live video experience?
We focused on 3 main areas:
1) 🎥 Live production — How can your events stand out from the crowd?
2)🙌🏽 Team coordination — How can we help you produce event with a whole team?
3) 📣 Tools for growth — And How can we help you build a relationship with your community and grow that community over time.
Well.. after being in beta with our customers for a whole year, today we’re launching crowdcast v2.0.
Here are some of the highlights:
• An built-in production Studio — You can now add custom backgrounds…. logos…. create & trigger overlays… and even share videos and slides natively on the platform at the highest resolution. Same
• A new Stage — Create complex layouts on the stage depending on the kind of live event you’re looking to host. Pin a sign language interpreter to stay in view the whole time.
• Introducing the Wing — We created a new space for guests and presenters to stay hidden until it’s ready to reveal them.
• Team Roles — The bigger the event, the more hands it takes to pull it off. Now there are assigned roles for co-hosts, speakers, and moderators to have different levels of control to co-produce the event.
• Backstage chat — Have a space for the team to coordinate privately.
• Flexible Ticketing — Create multiple teirs of tickets and promo codes to drive registrations and get paid.
• An updated Channel — You now have an updated channel page to allow your audience to follow you and stay in the loop for upcoming events.
• and many more…
This is the start of a new foundation and we have a lot in the pipeline.
Ultimately our mission it to help you build community, share your ideas, and make a living.

I've used Crowdcast to host my events for the past five years and I love it. It's a really great platform for building a community through the sharing of live broadcast content.
