Courseapp provides you with beautiful templates to create and launch your first course site in minutes only using the CLI. If you are launching a new course or you want to kick start the customer education strategy of your SAAS.
Hi Product Hunt community, Best here from ClassroomIO. The year is coming to an end and you probably thought you won't hear from me again this year but we have one last surprise for you ;). We've had this vision to give the community of creators simple yet beautiful templates for creating course sites, and we've finally made it a reality.
## Introducing CourseApp - `pnpx @classroomio/course-app@latest`
The ULTIMATE CLI TOOL for course app generations. You simply run `pnpx @classroomio/course-app@latest`, you select your preferred template and you have a fully functional university/academy site for your SAAS or company. Here are the templates we currently support:
1. cal - Cal.com inspired design
2. classic - Traditional course layout
3. minimal - Clean, minimalist design
4. posthog - PostHog style interface
5. webflow - Webflow inspired template
The templates come with:
1. A sveltekit application with 3 pages, home, courses and course page
2. Markdown support. You can create courses in markdown. Thanks to MDX you can embed videos, slides or whatever in your courses.
3. Works smoothly with your monorepo. You can add courseapp as an app in your monorepo and host it on your preferred provider. This also means that your courses are properly versioned.
What does this mean for open source SAAS?
You can open source course creation, not only your documentation. This is very powerful because courses are a powerful way to lower to barrier to entry into your platform. Opening the creation to your community means that you have another avenue to grow your fan base.
Looks beautiful - will give it a go if I have a course to run. I'm sure a few others in the Svelte community like @akash_joshi have some teaching materials they want to share.
Are there any examples in the wild to try?
@mbanerjeepalmer Thank you Maurice.
Sure you can. if you go to courseapp.oncws.com you would see all the available templates. You can click on any one and view it live.
