This extension is built to ease creating web tests. It is like Selenium-IDE, but for jest-puppeteer (for now). Also, this extension records actions on your browser, so it doesn't need to open up a new Selenium or Puppeteer window to record your actions on it.
Completely unrelated to the product: I saw you're using LastPass. I would recommend migrating to Bitwarden instead if you care about privacy/security.
Completely related to the product: Any plans to create this as a standalone product rather than a Chrome extension? (Don't use Chrome)
@hiramfromthechi Hello, firstly sorry for late response.
Why do you think I should change my pass-keeper?
And why do you think I should switch it to standalone application?
@omergulenn All great questions.
Regarding LastPass:
1. It's not open source. This means the code can't be verified. You simply have to "trust" that LastPass is storing your passwords, credit cards, and social security numbers safely. Cybersecurity experts (or you, if you can read code) can't freely see the code and make sure that it's not sending your passwords to some random servers around the world or something.
2. Owned by LogMeIn, a company not particularly reputable when it comes to security.
3. Multiple leaks over the past few years. Here are just a few, but you can do some deeper digging into them:

https://www.upguard.com/blog/las...
Your best bet is to use an open source password manager like KeePass or BitWarden.
Regarding a standalone app:
1. Making it a Chrome extension isolates non-Chrome users. Those using secure and privacy-respecting browsers like Firefox or Brave can't use your product because they don't use Chrome (and never will).
2. Chrome is one of the least safe browsers yet has most of the market share (isn't that scary?)
Let me know if you want to discuss any more.
@shangataup You can use it by installing it from Chrome Store link above.
After the installation, you can click to the icon to open up the recording window, and record afterwards. After you are done with recording, you will be able to copy or download the code of the test you have just recorded.
@ousmane_ndiaye What you mean exactly with "support"? If it is generating cypress.io code, it should be done with Generator.js and we need volunteers to work on it.
