Convex is the open source, reactive database where queries are TypeScript code running right in the database that keeps you focused on your product. Use our realtime database to build apps that are reactive by default. Integrate OpenAI into your workflows with builtin functions, scheduling, and vector search.

Hey everyone!
I'm Jamie, one of the founders of Convex. And I have something very exciting to share with you today.
Many AI coding tools generate beautiful frontends, but they stumble when it comes to backend engineering. So you end up with an app that looks great, but can't store or share anything!
👨🍳 Meet Chef... an AI app builder that's actually awesome at full-stack.
Chef truly understands how to build production-ready applications from end to end. How? It's powered by Convex, our reactive database optimized for AI. With everything in pure TypeScript, your backend code lives right alongside your app code, with full type-checking and autocompletion. This means your favorite AI tools, like Chef, can generate high-quality code that works in one shot.
Chef features:
Automatically synced, real-time apps
Built-in authentication
Integration with OpenAI out of the box to make AI-powered apps
Beautiful dashboards to manage your backend data and logs
One-click deployment so you can go live instantly.
No configuring anything, no boilerplate madness, no waiting 5 minutes to provision a database. Just tell Chef what you want to build, and it handles everything. Build a game, an AI chat app, or the next great social app.
Give it a spin and tell me what you think. I'm around to answer questions and hear your feedback!

Chefs been pretty dope for kicking off new greenfield projects. Any plans to let me use Chef with an existing project? That would really pop off!!
Convex
@redman Yep! We're working on support for some workflows where you can take an existing project and bring it back into Chef to make additional improvements.
Thanks for the kind words about Chef, and I'm glad it's been working well for you!
