take notes on the web with their context

Context Note is a free chrome extension that help you take notes on the web with their context. With the context, we could understand and recall the details of the notes better while reviewing. A handy tag system is also provided to manage the notes neatly.

Hey Hunters, be happy to share an app here and lets see how this goes 👊. We used to take notes on the web by copying & pasting the text to a cloud note-taking app (Evernote, OneNote, etc.) along with its website link, which is kinda cumbersome. And, what's more, because of lacking context, it is hard to recall the details of the notes when reviewing. On the other hand, lacking a handy tag system also make the notes messy and hard to find quickly. Context Note aims to solve these issues by jumping back to the location of the text while providing a handy tag system to manage the notes neatly. Sincerely invite you to take it a try, and your support would be my big motivation 💪 to maintain this app! Thank you, guys!

It's very suitable for Opera browser, which has builtin sidebar for Addons. Is there any plan to publish it to Opera Addons Maketplace?

@blackhuman Hi August, sorry for the late reply. To be honest there is no plan for supporting Opera browser since I am busy at another project. But it is a good suggetsion and I would like to put it in my todo list.

@goodbetterbest It is a cool extension, but can you please consider these: 1. Give an option to have domain-specific notes, not one notes for all websites. I mean, in Wikipedia let's have its own copy of it, don't display other websites' notes. Similarly, on another website, it should have its own notes. It is very distracting to see all notes in one place. 2. Give an option to change the colors, the current set is quite contrasting and not looking good. 3. Remove or option to hide WYSIWYG formatting panel, its just a small piece of notes, so doesn't require advanced formating. Users anyway copy paste some where else to format it. 4. Give an option or remove unnecessary padding/margin and save space for notes. Just for few lines of notes, 70% of space is useless around it. Currently I use this extension (https://chrome.google.com/websto...) every day to capture website-specific notes. Hope you improve and update us back here, so we can follow-up and retry it.

@veeresh_devireddy Hi Veeresh, thanks for these feedback and suggetsions! I think most of them (especially 1 and 4) are reasonable and I would like the add these featrues in the future. Thanks again.
