Contact Button helps you get more leads by providing website visitors with 1-click access to 15 widgets designed to solve common use cases directly inside of the contact button interface. It's almost like embedding a smartphone in the corder of your site.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Pete, the founder of Contact Button. The idea for this product was born out of a frequent frustration I had whenever I was trying to quickly get information about nearby businesses.
Like I'm sure many of you do as well, I typically start with a Google search on my phone. But on far too many mobile websites, I find it hard to quickly find an answer to my question or to navigate a site that was clearly designed for desktop users.
But I’m not here to tell you your business needs a mobile app. Actually, quite the opposite, as someone who has created several mobile apps myself, I know how hard it is to get users to find and download your app in the first place.
Instead, I think the best option for smaller businesses is to recreate the smartphone user experience by installing a Contact Button in the corner of their website and adding any of our 15 different ‘Widget Apps’ to a familiar interface that popups up when the button is clicked.
By providing quick access to these simple use case apps directly inside a Contact Button, website visitors can get the information they need as quickly and conveniently as possible.
I hope you’ll agree this is a novel solution to a common frustration that so many of us have experienced when interacting with a business online, and you’ll give it a try.
Hey @productpete wow there are a lot of services associated with that contact button. Really nice 👌🏻
This could help a lot of website owners to improve the UX of their sites.
How customizable is the appereance of the popup?
Congrats on the launch 🚀
@crebuh HI Christofer - Thanks for the kind words. Nearly any part of the popup can be customized, from the colors to the text to the language to the app icons. It's been fun to see so many different button designs out in the wild and looking forward to seeing what other new ideas people come up with as well!
Hey Pete,
I'm curious about how it affects page load times, especially on mobile devices.
Do you have plans to add more widget types or allow for custom widget development?
Congrats on the launch!
@kyrylosilin Good question. It's a very small script, so minimal effect on load times from what we've seen.
Yes, we have a couple more widgets in the works, including Chat Bots. No plans for custom widget development, but with our HTML Embed & Custom Links widget apps, you can create a lot of custom type apps already.
