Great use case for bots. Definitely think that every event and conference (at least tech-related events) will have bots in the future. Seems so much more natural and lower friction than downloading the app for an event (WWDC, ahem!).
EventBot can answer your attendees' commonly asked questions as many times as they ask!Where is the event being held? Driving directions? Where do I park? What’s on the agenda? How do I connect to WiFi? Who are the speakers? Where can I get a latte before the event starts?
.@chrismessina thanks for hunting Sciensio's EventBot.
We firmly believe that 2016 is the year of #convcomm. Today event attendees are getting their event information needs met in numerous sub-optimal ways (i.e., apps, websites, email, event staff, etc.). Messaging platforms and bot technology offer a significantly better experience for event attendees: available 24x7, immediate updates with notifications, ability to address majority of questions, no app to download or website to log into, no searching through email and no waiting in line for or trying to find event staff.
The existing EventBot is an early version that we have been using to solicit input for our product roadmap. Our plan was to launch on Product Hunt with our next iteration (slated for end of July). That iteration will include integrations with an event scheduling provider, ride share, guest list functionality and ability for event organizers to register and create an EventBot for their event(s) on-demand.
We are using the Jobs-to-be-Done theory and Job Stories to guide our development of EventBot. The basic premise of the theory is that customers don’t buy products and services; they buy what the products and services do for them. We believe that the true measure of bots will be in their ability to fulfill unmet customer needs. We would love to get your feedback and answer any questions that you may have.
