I wondered if it could help clean up audio‑transcription text, so I gave it a try. The “Fix Writing” option didn’t work as I’d hoped—it just seemed to flag grammatical mistakes. I was about to give up, when I realized that even on the free plan you can add custom prompts. I added one that said, “Remove unnecessary sound effects and tidy up the Japanese,” and it worked exactly as I wanted. It looks like there are plenty of other ways I can apply it. I’ve only been using it for about an hour, but I’m hoping it will improve my workflow as dramatically as CleanShot X did.

What do you think of your app compared to the app Grammarly provides?
Compose for macOS
@justintieu
Grammarly was great when they first came out, they made the best at the time grammar checker
The issue with grammarly now is, ChatGPT exists, LLMs exists and there's one thing more than anything that they prevail in next token prediction (aka writing)
Grammarly also feels like a super bloated app, compose is 14MB and uses just 30MB (that's right MB of ram)
We haven't even scratched the surface with features like being able to reply to an email, literally craft an essay not just fix.
These are things that grammarly can not do.
Can we connect it to slack?
