Hello Product Hunt,
I'm very excited to share my first product — Commont!
It all started when I wanted to add comments to a website. I did some research, and I came to realise that I don't particularly like any of the existing solutions. I needed my own. I first built a self-hosted version, https://use-comments.netlify.app/, and joked about making a SaaS out of it. While it was a joke at the time, I was pretty excited about this idea, so sometime in the middle of 2021, I started working on it.
Commont is currently in beta. What does it mean? That means the project is ready in terms of "I implemented everything that I initially wanted to". However, before making an official stable launch, I wanted to get some feedback, see how many people sign up, how they use Commont, etc. Based on that, I'll make the requested changes and fix all the issues that will arise.
If you wonder how to use it and whether it's something you'd like to add to your stack, here are the docs: https://www.commont.app/docs, where I described possible integrations and functionalities.
You probably wonder what do the name and logo mean. When I started working on it, I just moved to the north of Italy, to a small village in the mountains. Commont is a comment + mont (mountain). And... the logo is supposed to present mountains and pencils 😅
I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts, and I'd be more than happy to know how you're using Commont. Don't hesitate to reach out to me via email: aleksandra@commont.app, or Twitter: @aleksandrasays.
