Hi Product Hunt! I'm Andrew, one of the cofounders of Commery, along with @eriche3 and @lyonaung . The three of us met in college and started a coworking space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn called Labyrinthe right after graduation. We've experienced first hand the inefficiencies and difficulties in dealing with commercial leasing transactions. Traditionally, a prospective tenant will end up with a single broker who represents them on the buy-side of the transaction. Because the broker is incentivized to lease out their exclusive spaces and maximize their commission, tenants often don't have a transparent view into the properties and prices currently on the market. At Commery, we want to change that. Tenants deserve transparent information, and we're building them a marketplace where they can post their space requirements and receive inbound from agents and landlords. They then can choose who to work with and determine if the spaces pitched to them are an appropriate fit. By listing demand first, tenants can even source off-market spaces that aren't publicly available yet. Our service is free for tenants and we charge brokers a subscription fee to engage in leads. Our goal is to democratize commercial real estate by giving more power to the tenants. We welcome any feedback and comments!
