We'd love to hear your thoughts and answer any questions you have. Here are a few things we d be especially excited to dive into with the Product Hunt community:
Curious how it works?
Ask us about the AI behind ColourSense, how it detects skin tones and undertones, or how we built our color palette logic!
Definitely has a lot of potential and when realised and bugs addressed, can definitely gain a good reputation for helping people look their best!
@wayne_flossien_de_silva What a massive upgrade from the old seasonal color guessing game!
@daisy_frank Thank you so much! 😊 We really wanted to take the guesswork out and make color matching actually smart and personal. Honestly, even I used to have a hard time figuring out what suited me so building this has been a game-changer!
This is absolutely brilliant. Is this suitable for all skin tones and lighting conditions?
Thank you so much @woody_robles ! 💜 Yes, ColourSense is designed to work across all skin tones and a variety of lighting conditions. That said, we’re still continuously improving the accuracy, especially under tricky lighting or lower-quality camera settings. It's a big priority for us as we grow, and we’d love any feedback if something feels off. Every feedback helps us get better! 😊
It’s like those color season test but way smarter and genuinely helpful. How does the AI figure out what suits you best?
@hannah_jhon Thanks for the awesome comparison! 😊 We use AI that combines powerful tools to understand images. One part helps the system "see" the image clearly, while the other helps it "think" and recognize patterns. Together, they make it possible to analyze things like skin tones or textures in a smart, reliable way.
For skin detection, the AI looks at the colors and patterns in the image, kind of like how your eyes notice skin tones. It breaks the image down into tiny color dots, finds areas that match natural skin color ranges, and then focuses on those regions. It can adjust for lighting, shadows, or different skin types, making the analysis accurate across all kinds of people.
