This is incredible! Would love to know how far the model back dates tweets? Also what platform you built this on? Have you considered making a version for political bias too? Would be incredible to validate publishers 🙌

@lachlankirkwood The data source is https://hive.one, you can read more about their algorithm here: https://hive.one/algorithm. I'm not sure how far back they check the tweets. The extension is open source so if someone wants to fork it and do a political spin off they're more than welcome.

@lukechilds123 @lachlankirkwood I lead the team that created hive.one. Our data goes a couple of months back at this point, but going forward the time span will grow. The current data set is focused exclusively on crypto Twitter, but we believe that this algorithm can be applied universally. Both in terms of context on Twitter and applying it to other platforms. There are lots of people voicing their opinions on Crypto Twitter, however it's often hard to work out if Tweets are genuinely informative, or if the person has an ulterior motive. The step I usually use to determine how seriously I should take a Tweet are: - See a negative tweet about a certain currency. - Check that person’s profile to see if they're biased towards or against that currency. - If they’re biased towards it and they’re saying something negative, it’s probably a valid criticism. - If they’re biased against it and they’re saying something negative, it might just be FUD. However this can be time consuming and it isn't always easy to tell someone's biases just by glancing at their profile. This browser extension helps you get quick insights into user biases by injecting the data straight into Twitter. Bias information is displayed inside the users profile card that pops up when you hover over their avatar. It's also displayed under a users bio on their profile. The https://hive.one API provides influence data on users which is then run through an algorithm to derive bias from that data. It's not perfect and the results should be taken with a pinch of salt. There are definitely lots of ways it can be improved but I think it's accurate enough to helpful.
