Automatic daily backups and instant restores of your GitHub repositories, metadata, and even LFS. Backup to any storage you want: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Microsoft OneDrive, Wasabi storage, and more.
I've been using Cloudback for my open-source projects, and it's fantastic! It's really easy to set up, and the automatic backups keep my work safe. I use custom storage, and Cloudback works perfectly with it. Also, the data deduplication helps save some space 😃
@robinkunz Imagine that someone makes a wrong "force push" and looses a whole branch. How will you recover? Imagine someone force pushes a malicious code, and you want to find out when it happened. There are real-world use cases with no doubts. Also, github repositiry includes metadata like isues, comments, projects and so on. Which is also useful to backup. If a github account gets blocked you have a chance to recover a project board at least.
Hello everyone,
Cloudback is GitHub repository backup as a service.
The decision to start the Cloudback project has been made a few months ago when we noticed there are no solutions that provide the ability to back up a GitHub repository into private cloud storage. We made this a key feature of our product - the integration with various cloud storage providers.
Cloudback backs up a GitHub repository and its metadata and stores the resulting archive in your own storage facility or in built-in storage.
The supported storage providers are:
- Microsoft Azure Blob Storage
- Microsoft OneDrive Personal
- Microsoft OneDrive For Business
- Amazon S3 Bucket via Access Point
- Amazon S3 Bucket via Access Key
- Amazon S3 Glacier
- Google Cloud Storage Bucket
- Alibaba Cloud Object Storage Service
- OpenStack Swift Container via S3 API
Don't hesitate to ask any questions.
