CiteSeer is a very simple yet powerful website with a very simple yet powerful purpose: Given a set of academic papers, find all papers citing this set of papers.
I made CiteSeer in about 20 minutes after I failed to find a website which serves the incredibly simple goal of finding all papers which commonly cite a given set of papers. This little tool sped up my literature search so much that I decided to share it with my colleagues.
Now CiteSeer is used among researchers from Harvard, MIT, Stanford, and more of the most prestigious academic institutions in the world.
