Not that everything has to be Wordle, but it would be nice if you could track incorrect moves with a counter to see how many guesses it takes a user. Then you could have a bit of competition and it would make the results more shareable.
Tried it out and even went and did the voice call. Everything works great. If I had to give some thoughts on the actual idea:
Mate in 1 is not really a puzzle and not something you would voice call over
Would be kind fo cool if I could live chat with others currently solving the same puzzle as me (might need a filter to block spoilers)
Would make the collaborative aspect much more real and likely to happen. Not sure who is going to sit down with their friends and do the puzzle at the same time throught the voice call.
Also out of curiousity, where are you sourcing the puzzles from? If you need more lichess.org is open source and probably a great place to get them :)
@pablo_fatas awesome feedback, thanks a lot for writing this up! I will think about how to make the puzzles more challenging or how to adapt the concept to make it work better with the voice chat use case.
@__tosh The thing about most puzzle sites is that they have some kind of rating system depending on who is solving them. it depends how accessible you want the site to be. One thing you could have is 3 levels; easy, medium, hard (or whatever you could even cat theme it). The lichess database would give you the ratings attached and you could cut it wuite easly by just saying easy is anything below 1000 and hard anything above 1500. everything in between medium.
Last thign (sorry for the spam), use the cat theme more. I thought the cat was cute. There are plenty of puzzle sites out there. I think having the branding adds a lot. People like pretty things.
