Update: As of 2300UTC last night the plugin will no longer work on Twitter. Tweet up to 280 characters using the new Twitter cramming feature, which otherwise is only available to limited users.
Just another quick product hacked together. Twitter launched their new 280 character limit to select users last night. By messing with some front-end settings this plugin will allow you to post up to 280 characters.
The extension doesn't save any data and is literally 5 lines of JS. As it all runs on the front-end, Twitter updates make break this at anytime.
Other downsides: I have yet to fix the counter (so it's stuck at 140) and it's only on Chrome Desktop as an extension at present

Edit: Never mind. Removing the plugin and reinstalling it did the trick for me. All good!
@irishpolyglot I pushed an update around that time, so if this did happen to anyone else - just remove and reinstall and it should work (for the time being).
